WhatsApp Integration – How It Works
Our system uses the official WhatsApp Business Platform (Cloud API) provided by Meta.

This means that:
The integration is fully official
It complies with WhatsApp rules and security standards
All messages are processed through Meta’s servers
Official documentation: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/whatsapp
1. Integration Requirements
WhatsApp has an important rule:
A single phone number can be registered in only one WhatsApp environment.
This means it is not possible for the same number to:
The number works in the WhatsApp Business mobile app And the same number is connected to the Cloud API, i.e., our panel.
If the number is already used in the WhatsApp app, the integration will show the message:
"This number is registered to an existing WhatsApp account..."
WhatsApp uses end-to-end encryption, and each number belongs to only one system.
Official registration information: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/whatsapp/cloud-api/phone-numbers
2. How a number is transferred to the API
If the number is already used in the WhatsApp Business app, it is necessary to:
Delete the account from the WhatsApp Business app (Delete account)
Wait for approximately 3 minutes
Then we register the number on the Cloud API
After that:
The number will no longer work in the mobile app
All messages will come to our system
Details: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/whatsapp/cloud-api/get-started

We will add WhatsApp integration to the LiveCaller dashboard.
3. Transferring a number from another provider
If the number is already with another provider and you want to use the same number in our system, the following steps must be completed.
Prerequisites
Two-Step Verification must be disabled
Display Name must be approved
Business Verification must be completed
Embedded Signup You go through Meta's authorization process, where a new WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) is automatically created.
Number Migration Meta starts transferring the number from the old provider to the new WABA.
Final Activation The number is registered on the Cloud API and becomes fully active in our system. At this stage, it is automatically disconnected from the old provider.
Migration documentation: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/whatsapp/embedded-signup/migration
4. What is transferred during migration
If you already had a business account, the previous chat history is not preserved during the Cloud API transfer.
During migration, the following are retained:
Number's Quality Rating
Messaging limits
Approved Display Name
Official Business Account status
Templates:
Only APPROVED and GREEN quality templates are transferred
Template documentation: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/whatsapp/business-management-api/message-templates
5. 24-hour response window
WhatsApp has a 24-hour rule: when a user messages you, a 24-hour response window opens. During this period, you can send any text you want and do not need to use a Template. If 24 hours pass and the user has not messaged you, sending free text is not possible, and a Template Message is required.
Template Messaging Tiers (message limits) WhatsApp has a limit system that determines how many unique users you can send a Template to within 24 hours. There are several tiers:
Tier 1 → 1,000 users / 24 hours
Tier 2 → 10,000 users
Tier 3 → 100,000 users
Tier 4 → unlimited (practically unlimited)
How Tier increases You have a good Quality Rating (Green), no blocks or spam reports, and actively and correctly use the system. Meta automatically increases your Tier. If quality decreases → the Tier may be reduced.
6.Display Name Restrictions
Display Name is your business name that appears to users in the chat.
Meta has strict rules:
The Display Name must:
Match the real business name
Not contain excessive symbols (!!! $$$)
Not be only in uppercase letters (SALE NOW)
Not be a generic word (“Support”, “Admin”)
Not contain a URL or phone number
The Display Name goes through an approval stage. If it is not approved, the number cannot be activated.
Short Summary
✔ A WhatsApp number can exist in only one environment ✔ To use the API, the number must be disconnected from the app ✔ It is possible to transfer the number from another provider ✔ Rating, limits, and Templates are preserved ✔ The process is fully official on Meta’s infrastructure
